The Second Fairy Grandma is Wei Huacun of the Jin Dynasty. She was obsessed with Taoism and metaphysics, studied medicine deeply, cured the sick and saved the weak, studied Taoist medical theory and health preservation, and finally wrote the "Huangting Sutra", which had a great influence at that time and even in later generations. She was revered as "Zixu Yuanjun", "Nanyue Madam", "Shangqing School Ancestor", and was commonly known as "Second Fairy Grandma" among the local people. Xingshui, also known as Daxingshui, or Xiadianchun-shui. It is said that the Second Fairy Grandma was in the early spring, touring the countryside, seeking water from the sky, alleviating spring drought, curing people's diseases, and saving people from danger. According to the "Xingshui Jilue" in Jiezhu Village in the third year of Shunzhi in the Qing Dynasty, "Xingshui can be traced back to the Yongle period of the Ming Dynasty. Every three years, the streets and alleys are cleaned, the courtyards are cleaned, and new clothes are worn to welcome the fairy." The origin of the Second Fairy Grandma's Xingshui can be traced back to the history of more than 500 years. The Erxian Grandma's Water Walking has been passed down from generation to generation through the Ming, Qing, and Republic of China periods until today, and has never been interrupted. The old names and systems such as "water official", "deacon", and "head of the association" have been used. In the "Erxian Grandma's Water Walking" activity, the people of Jiezhu Village, Donggao Village, Xigao Village, Qinghe, Xinzhuang, Nanzuo, Niezhang, and Ziling Town in Xixiang Town actively participated. The imperial guard of honor, folk art groups, storytelling and juggling, and accompanying pilgrims, the nearly 3,000-person water walking team was mighty and long, with the head and tail of the long dragon visible. Wherever it passed, people were kind and sincere, lining the streets to welcome it respectfully, and fragrant fruits and tea were prepared in front of each household for the water walking team to use. The imperial carriage passed through each altar, and the altar master and the altar deacon of the altar greeted it with incense, knelt in the dust and worshiped, praying for good weather, peace and prosperity. According to convention, the Erxian Grandma's Water-Walking Ceremony is held every three years, from the 13th to the 15th day of the first lunar month. When the old and new managers (members of the temple council) are replaced, the previous council must hold the Erxian Grandma's Water-Walking Ceremony, and then transfer to the next council according to the handover procedure before leaving office. In July 2021, the "Erxian Grandma's Water-Walking Ceremony" was announced by the Henan Provincial People's Government as the fifth batch of representative projects of Henan Province's intangible cultural heritage.
