I watched many Guangshan shadow puppet shows when I was a child, which left deep memories. However, with the emergence of new media, it is gradually disappearing. Guangshan shadow puppetry is known as the Western Shadow Puppetry because of its strong local characteristics, close to the Huguang language system, and its singing and dialogue are also unique. Guangshan shadow puppetry is made of buffalo leather. After production and processing, it is transparent and painted with various human and animal images, which are controlled by joysticks. During the performance, the shadow puppet is illuminated by light or moonlight, and the image appears on the face tent. The activities of the shadow are controlled by the actors, who dub and play the accompaniment of the band. These "shadow figures" can be made into "wonderful handicrafts" and exported in large quantities to Taiwan and Southeast Asia.
