Lantern making technology is a traditional art project in the sixth batch of representative projects of intangible cultural heritage at the municipal level in Lianyungang City. Lanterns, also known as flower lanterns, are a general term for a variety of lanterns such as flower lanterns, palace lanterns, and wind lanterns. It is also a folk craft with a long history in my country. According to the "Ganyu County Chronicles", in ancient times, the custom of Lantern Festival has always been popular in Ganyu. The process is: split bamboo, tie the frame, paste the beads, hang the tassels, paint the lamp poles, lamp stands, and put oil lamps or candles on the base. Commonly tied lanterns include radish cores, square lanterns, flower baskets, plum blossom lanterns, flower drum lanterns, twelve zodiac lanterns, insect lanterns, animal lanterns, character lanterns, and utensil lanterns.
