Gewu young ginger slices are a traditional craft item in the fifth batch of representative items of municipal intangible cultural heritage. Ginger has been commonly eaten in the Spring and Autumn Period. The production of Gewu young ginger slices has a history of 60 years. Later, it was changed from one family to a collective workshop. The Gewu Supply and Marketing Sauce Factory was built in the early 1950s and is a well-known sauce production enterprise. Selected young ginger harvested three days before the Cold Dew Festival is used as raw material, pickled and sliced, and then soaked in high-quality fresh and sweet sauce.
