Yixing pottery traditional storage skills, a traditional skills project in the fourth batch of representative projects of intangible cultural heritage at the provincial level of Jiangsu Province, was submitted by Yixing City, Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province. Yixing pottery traditional storage skills mainly include rolling cylinders, stacking, counting, packaging, loading and repairing cylinders. Among them, rolling cylinders and stacking can best reflect the wisdom of our ancestors. Rolling cylinders: Rolling cylinders are mainly used for short-distance transportation of large cylinders and large altars, using clever force. Hold the edge of the cylinder with both hands, grasp the center of gravity, make the edge of the bottom of the cylinder stand sideways, and push hard while turning it, so that the large cylinder moves forward under the action of inertia. Skilled potters can roll two or three cylinders at the same time. Stacking: Stacking is mainly used for pottery storage. In thousands of years of production practice, potters have formed a variety of unique stacking skills according to different types of goods. Various stacking methods have their own applicable types of vessels, and the shapes are also different. There are mainly herringbone stacking, seven-star stacking, rectangular stacking, columnar stacking, etc. At present, there are two representative inheritors of Yixing pottery storage skills, one at the Jiangsu provincial level and one at the Wuxi municipal level.
