Tongzhou Folk SongsNantong is bordered by the Yellow Sea in the east and the Yangtze River in the south. It has a suitable climate, abundant resources and a prosperous population. It is a famous land of fish and rice. Throughout the ages, our ancestors worked from sunrise to sunset on this land. In order to inspire labor morale and overcome natural disasters, Tongzhou folk songs came into being. It faithfully records the ups and downs of the ancestors of Nantong and condenses the wisdom and sweat of the ancestors of Nantong for thousands of years. At the same time, Nantong is located at the beginning of Wu and the end of Chu. Wu culture and Chu culture blend and intersect.
