Tianshenggang Haozi, a traditional music item in the fifth batch of representative items of municipal intangible cultural heritage. In modern times, with the rise of industry and shipping, the Tianshenggang area of Gangzha has gradually formed a Tianshenggang Haozi that is a fusion of various immigrant cultures and the participation of industrial and agricultural workers, which is used for both labor and life. Tianshenggang Haozi has diverse themes and contents, including the mud-carrying, manure-carrying, and wheat-carrying songs sung during farming; the pole-lifting and large-cart songs sung during transportation; the tamping songs and beam-raising songs sung when building houses; and the Hengjia Haozi sung during weddings. From the perspective of thoughts and feelings, there are various styles, including encouraging labor enthusiasm, expressing the joy of harvest, relieving boredom, and making fun of the absurdity of the world. Tianshenggang Haozi has simple lyrics, brisk rhythm, high-pitched singing, and is sung in the standard Nantong dialect. It records the production, life and emotions of the working people through spontaneous creation and word-of-mouth transmission, and preserves many ancient customs, culture and dialect information. It is a rare treasure house of rural culture and folk literature. (No pictures yet, welcome to provide.) (No pictures yet, welcome to provide.)
