Gucheng Shifan Gonggu, a traditional music item in the second batch of representative items of municipal intangible cultural heritage. Shifan Gonggu, commonly known as Daluogu, is a folk drum music popular in Jiangshan Village, Gucheng Town, Gaochun County, mainly "Qingluogu". The Shifan Gonggu of Jiangshan Village began in the Ming Dynasty and became popular in the late Qing Dynasty. After the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom established its capital in Nanjing, the Taiping Army entered Gaochun, and the people beat the big gongs and drums to celebrate the victory of the Taiping Army. Later, "Shifan Gonggu" was called "Taiping Heavenly Kingdom Gonggu", which has continued to this day. The performers of Shifan Gonggu are all local villagers, ranging from 8 to 12 people, who organize and carry out self-entertainment performances. Shifan Gonggu percussion music uses double big gongs, double big cymbals, double small cymbals, double small gongs and a big drum. With the big drum beat as the conductor, it continuously beats out ten different sets of "gong and drum scriptures", and is accompanied by a large trumpet (commonly known as a foreign trumpet) to play, which is magnificent and loud. In the past, the performance of Shifan gongs and drums was mainly used in various local customs and rituals, and as an accompaniment for the local folk dance "Wu Wuchang". In recent years, with the vigorous development of rural cultural activities, the number of folk "grass-roots" troupes has gradually increased, and the peasant art performance team has continued to grow, giving Shifan gongs and drums the opportunity to show their charm. "Shifan gongs and drums" and the local "Wu Wuchang" often go out to perform together, and go deep into major events such as the opening of enterprises, the completion of factories and farmers' weddings, becoming one of the indispensable forms of entertainment in the local area.
