On every "Hai Day", there is an endless stream of people going to the market, up to 20,000 to 30,000 people, which is the largest market day in Longan County. Hai Day of the Zhuang Nationality in Nanwei Town, Longan County The "Hai Day" (12 days is a "Hai") market of the Zhuang Nationality in Nanwei Town, Longan County is a traditional big market day formed in the long-term farming life, mainly for the trading of livestock such as pigs, cattle, and horses. On every "Hai Day", there are as many as 30,000 to 40,000 people going to the market. According to the Longan County Chronicles, as early as the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Nanwei Town was one of the main market cities in the area, with a history of more than 300 years. It is considered to be a customary activity related to rice culture formed under the unique geographical environment and climatic conditions of Longan County. In addition to the people from the towns and villages of the county, merchants from neighboring counties such as Pingguo, Tiandong, Tianyang, Napo, Jingxi, Debao, Yunnan, Daxin, and Wuming all come to the market to wholesale and purchase products. People from as far away as Guangdong, Yunnan, Guizhou, and even Vietnam and Thailand often come to do business. The trade is extremely active, with a wide variety of items on the market, especially pigs, horses, cattle, sheep, farm tools, dowries, etc. There are designated areas for trading various types of livestock and poultry items, such as daily necessities in the middle of the market, farm tools and dowries in the north of the market, and livestock trading in the south of the market. It has gradually evolved into one of the largest livestock and poultry professional trading markets in southwest Guangxi. During the Zhuang Hai Day, related breeding cattle competitions, sheep fighting, dog fighting activities, opera singing and other cultural and sports activities and skill competitions are also held. The breeding cattle competition is to select the breeding cattle from various places through bullfighting to determine the breeding cattle champion and reward the owner. At each cattle breeding competition, cattle dealers from Wuming, Tiandeng, Pingguo, Fusui, Daxin, Baise, Nanning and other places will come to participate in the competition. In addition to cattle breeding competitions, there are also sheep fighting and dog fighting activities. The purpose of the activities is to increase the lively atmosphere of "Hai Ri" and expand the trading volume and influence of "Hai Ri"; secondly, to commend excellent livestock and their breeders, so that people can better understand the market and breeding methods of livestock. On "Hai Ri", everyone will spontaneously organize and invite professional troupes from other places to perform, and sometimes invite local troupes to perform. The Zhuang "Hai Ri" trade in Nanyu Town has declined compared with previous years. The reason is that the transportation cost of the source of goods is expensive.
