The stilt tiger-lion dance in Jilong Village, Donglong Town, Huilai County is a traditional dance with a history of 300 years. The dance is named after the prototype of the cat family lion-tiger beast. Because the local custom is to read the lion-tiger beast as tiger-lion, and the dance is performed on stilts, it is called "stilt tiger-lion". According to legend, the lion-tiger beast can exorcise demons and evil spirits. Therefore, every Spring Festival, local people dance this dance, hoping that the new year will be auspicious and peaceful.
