The legend of Jinshan Temple on the island has a long history in Qingyun. The legend is very beautiful and the plot is moving. The original Jinshan Temple on the island is located about one mile west of Fenshuiwang Village, Qingyun County. It is impossible to verify when it was built. This temple existed in the Sui Dynasty. It is said that the temple is large in scale, covering an area of more than a thousand acres. There is a saying that he rode a donkey to close the mountain gate. It is said that Tang Monk grew up and became a monk in this temple. Xuanzang's ancestral home is in Henan, and he was born in an official family. His foreign native place is Chang'an. The "Anecdotes" of the "Qingyun County Chronicles" compiled in the third year of the Republic of China recorded that Chen Guangrui of the Sui Dynasty took his wife Yin Mantang to Wudi County (now the ancient city of Wudi in the north of Yujiadian Village, Qingyun) to take office. Passing through Qingyun Zhimen Liu Village, they took a boat to cross the river. The pirate Liu Hong saw Yin's delicate and charming appearance and suddenly had evil intentions. When the boat reached the deep end of the river, he pushed Chen Guangrui into the river and drowned her, and forcibly occupied Yin. At that time, Yin was pregnant, so she had to endure the humiliation and give birth secretly. After the child was born, Liu Hong wanted to harm him again. Yin sewed a piece of cloth with the child's life story on the child's chest, then hid the child in a wooden box and secretly put it into the river. The wooden box floated down the river to the Jinshan Temple section of the river, and was found and rescued by the monks in the temple. Not long after, Yin committed suicide. Elder Fa Ming first entrusted the child to a Liang in the nearby Kangjia Village (the village was originally in the northwest corner of Taojia Village, Qingyun Town, and has long ceased to exist) to nurse. When he grew up, he returned to the temple and was commonly known as Hailiu Monk. This was the later Tang Monk. Artists compiled this incident into the opera "Reverse Listening Gate" "Yin Mantang's Complaint" or storytelling pieces, which have been passed down to this day.
