Wuhe Linbei Lion Dance is a comprehensive folk art form that integrates entertainment, martial arts, acrobatics, totems, and competition. Linbei Lion Dance originated in the late Qing Dynasty and is mainly spread in Linbei Township, Wuhe County and surrounding towns. Linbei Lion Dance has the characteristics of both northern and southern lion dances, with both form and spirit, and has a strong Huaihe cultural feature. It belongs to the lion in the middle zone, and its color is mainly blue, also known as the green lion. The dance movements are cheerful and simple, and the orchestration is vivid and smooth. Through the lion's pounce, flash, leap, and move, the lion's animality and spirituality are fully expressed. The lion dancers use scratching, intimacy and other movements to appropriately dye the lion's joy, anger, sorrow, and happiness. There are usually single lion performances, double lion performances, and group performances of more than 4 lions. Linbei Lion Dance is generally performed in the square during the Spring Festival, Spring Festival and major celebrations. The basic performance forms include eight sections: coming out of the mountain, winding up the slope, crossing the bridge, climbing the peak, giving birth, and offering blessings. The performers use difficult movements such as jumping, running, jumping, and falling to show the lion's bravery, flexibility, and majesty. At the same time, through delicate expressive movements and dance postures such as chasing the ball, jumping, and dribbling the ball, the lion's gentleness and playfulness are shown. Linbei Lion Dance is a folk dance of the Han nationality. After being performed by the Hui people, it has been integrated into the culture of the ethnic group, enriching the expression form of lion dance, and embodying the rich cultural creativity and artistic imagination of the local working people. It stores the unique cultural concepts, aesthetic tastes, and folk customs of the Hui and Han people in the Huaihe River Basin. It is one of the excellent folk dance cultures in the Huaihe River Basin. In 1954, Linbei Lion Dance was recommended and selected to participate in the first national folk art performance and performed for the leaders of the Party and the country.
