Jinzhai County is located in the west of Anhui Province, north of Dabie Mountain, and is the gateway of Anhui Province to Henan and Hubei. The Jinzhai ancient stele "Silk String Gongs and Drums" has been passed down from Jiangxi Province to the Jinzhai ancient stele area for more than 400 years. "Silk String Gongs and Drums" consists of 25 music sections, with a large scale, fast or slow rhythm, many changes, and relatively complex performance. The style is honest and simple, with a strong Dabie Mountain local flavor. The performance method can be traced back to the Tang Dynasty. Many basic drum beats were later evolved into different types of gong and drum performances by people, which is of great historical value. In particular, it has a great influence on the gong and drum performances in the surrounding counties of Hubei and Henan provinces. "Ten-part Gongs and Drums" was developed from "Silk String Gongs and Drums". The music and gong and drum scores of "Silk String Gongs and Drums" have been relatively intact in the process of circulation. The whole song is based on the palace mode, which runs through the whole song, and on this basis, the relationship between the major second and the perfect fifth in the same palace is alternating. The main means of melody development are repetition, displacement, expansion, and contraction. The music is a series of linked pieces, with the suona and trumpet echoing each other in each row.
