Legend of Huangqi Lake A long time ago, the place where Huangqi Lake in Chayouqian Banner is located was a low-lying wasteland. Because there was no water, it was desolate and was called "death grassland" by local herdsmen. No one came to live here. The herdsmen prayed for the lush grass and water in this grassland, and hoped for good weather and good harvest every year, so they gave this wasteland a nice name, Bayintala, which means "rich grassland" in Chinese. One day, there was a sudden thunderstorm, and a tall and big divine horse descended from the sky and landed in a low-lying area. It was white as snow, with a mane and tail dragging on the ground, a broad chest and long legs, and was extremely strong, just like a mighty lion. The horse raised its head and howled three times at the sky, and then gave birth to a snow-white foal. The amniotic fluid during childbirth kept flowing out, flowing and flowing, for a full 8864 days, so the depression was filled with water and turned into a huge lake, which is today's "Huangqi Lake". The water in the lake is as blue as the sky, the sea is surging, and the fish are swimming. Once there is water, the grassland will immediately prosper, the land will no longer be dry, and the flowers and grass will flourish. The herdsmen will move here and live a good life. It turns out that this divine horse is the third princess of the Dragon King of the East China Sea. She came down to earth at the order of the Jade Emperor to benefit the people. It not only solved the life-saving water for the people, but also nourished the land and water. Strangely enough, from then on, the people with the surname Ma born on this land were full of spiritual energy, and many of them became officials of the court. People were grateful to the third princess, and every household took out the best "food, drink and clothing" to express their gratitude. However, after searching the grassland, they still couldn't find this divine horse. At this time, a group of swans flew over the sky and said to the herdsmen, "Gaga": The divine horse has returned to heaven, the divine horse has returned to heaven. Later, the Qing government set up the Zhenghuang Banner here, and since then this lake has been called the "Yellow Flag Sea". (No pictures yet, welcome to provide.)
