The common feature of traditional clothing of the Jino people is that they are made of homemade cotton cloth, and the cloth must be starched with rice soup before sewing. The clothing (including headdresses) of the Axi, Aha and Wuyou of the Jino people are different. Here we only introduce the clothing of the Axi. For headdresses, men wrap their heads with black cloth more than one meter long, and young people expose the side embroidered with moon patterns on the right; women wear a triangular hat with a white hard line folded in half and a pointed top. The brim of the hat is slightly turned outward, with the black stripe on the pointed top as the center. The two sides of the hat are vertically attached to the shawl, and the ears are worn with large silver hoop earrings; in the past, men kept three tufts of hair, pierced their ears, and dyed their teeth, but now it is no longer seen. The clothing is made of seven colors, including white, black, red, yellow, cyan, blue and purple. Among them, white (representative color), black and red are the main colors. Adult men wear white collarless double-breasted shirts with no borders and no buttons (tied with belts). There are colored stripes on the front, chest, hips, wrists and lower back. The cuffs and hems are bordered with black and red stripes. A 6-inch square black (or red or white) cloth is sewn in the middle of the upper back. The cloth is embroidered with circular patterns and radial lines with colored threads, which look like sunflowers and suns. The Jino people call it moon flower or sun flower. The bottom is white folded crotch wide-leg trousers with red and black colored stripes on the trouser legs and knees. The trousers are tied with belts with tassels at both ends woven with colored cotton threads. The tassels fall on the lower abdomen after being tied, but now most of the trousers of adult Jino men are Han suit trousers! The tops of Jino men are the most ethnically distinctive ones I have seen in the costumes of various ethnic groups in the southwestern border villages. Adult women of the Jino ethnic group wear collarless double-breasted shirts, with the upper part mostly black, and the lower part made of red, white, black and other seven-color stripes or embroidered patterns. The arms, elbows and cuffs are symmetrically decorated with colored stripes, and trimmed with red and black lines. The underwear is a corset with a square top and a diamond-shaped bottom. The upper part is decorated with bright stripes, and the lower part is embroidered with various patterns. Some are decorated with silver bubbles. The lower part is a short skirt with white background and colored stripes and black and red edges. There is no waist, and the two ends are crossed in front of the abdomen. Regardless of gender, they all use a square black cloth about one foot long to tie their calves and go barefoot (now they basically wear shoes).
