Tibet is a vast country. Due to different geographical environments and climates, natural conditions vary greatly. In order to adapt to the natural environment and different climatic conditions, each region has distinctive ethnic costumes. Tibetan robes are the most common Tibetan clothing. Urban residents like to use high-quality wool to make Tibetan robes, agricultural areas use felt, and pastoral areas use fur. The indispensable item in Tibetan clothing is the belt. In addition to the belt, the bangdian of Tibetan women in Tibet is also very distinctive. In addition, Tibetan compatriots also like to wear hats, mostly felt hats, leather hats and golden flower hats, and the shoes worn by Tibetan compatriots are called Tibetan boots. The accessories of Tibetan compatriots are mainly hair accessories, ear ornaments, chest ornaments, waist ornaments and hand ornaments. Now, many Tibetan families have added modern clothing such as suits and jackets to their wardrobes, reflecting the new clothing taste of the Tibetan people. However, many people still maintain traditional clothing during festivals. Hada is the most important decoration in Tibetan clothing and the most common ritual item in Tibet. Its main function is to express blessing, respect, friendship and sincerity. The texture, specifications, colors, and lengths of Hada vary. In the past, raw silk or linen were used to make Hada, but in recent years, more and more artificial fibers have been used. There are many ways to fold Hada, depending on the grade and purpose, and they contain different meanings. Tibetans prefer white, which symbolizes holiness, sincerity, and honesty, so most common Hada is white. In addition, there are five-colored Hada woven in blue, white, yellow, green, and red, each with its own meaning and different interpretations. It is generally believed that they represent the blue sky, white clouds, rivers, gods, and the earth respectively.
