Tibetan Thangka (Lhasa Thangka), a traditional art. Lhasa Thangka, with a history of hundreds of years, is a plastic art that combines folk handicrafts and painting techniques unique to the Tibetan people. It is also called paving and pasting thangka, and is known as the "three wonders" of Tibetan Buddhist art along with butter sculptures and murals. Production process The production method of Lhasa Thangka is to cut various colored cotton cloth, silk, and satin into various designed patterns and shapes, carefully pile them into a complete picture, and then embroider them with colored threads. On May 24, 2021, Tibetan Thangka (Lhasa Thangka) was approved by the State Council of the People's Republic of China to be included in the fifth batch of national intangible cultural heritage list, with the heritage number VII-14.
