Ninghua Hakka folk songs are an important part of the entire Hakka culture. They have well preserved the rhythm of traditional music in the Central Plains and are rich in content. Some reflect women's struggle for freedom and liberation, some express the love and marriage of young men and women, some expose the decadent and declining feudal ethics, and express local customs, scenery, etc. The rhythm is diverse, including seven-word four-sentence style, five-word and seven-word alternating six-sentence style, five-word and nine-word alternating three-sentence style, etc., and a large number of supporting words are used to make the folk songs more fluent, colloquial, and more local.
