Hunan
🎧  Listen to Introduction

The Wangxinglou Tongshu follows the imperial calendar, and is based on the calendar books such as "Shuli Jingyun", "Li Xiang Kaocheng", "Zihui Dou Shu" and "Heluo Li Shu" made by the emperor in the Ming and Qing dynasties, using the eight trigrams, the twelve palaces and the twenty-eight mansions. At the same time, it also refers to the Western calendar and arc angle algorithm, takes into account the factors of the earth's longitude and latitude, and integrates the ancient and modern astronomy, geography and calendar to calculate the time of occurrence of my country's 24 solar terms and the cycle of solar and lunar eclipses. According to the five directions of southeast, northwest, and center and the changes of the sun, moon and stars, and the five colors of blue, blue, red, black and bright, it predicts the drought and flood situation in the coming year and the taboos of people's behavior. The Wangxinglou Tongshu was originally handed down as a handwritten copy. During the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty, Li Jingchen launched a woodcut printing version with a yellow cover. According to the generally fixed format of the calendars issued by the dynasties, the main text is mainly about farming time and solar terms, and the daily notes of the people's daily production and life are given. It also contains Yangji diagram, Bagua diagram, proverbs, customs, common sense of production and life, and Spring Festival couplets. After Li Fusheng took over, the cover was changed to "Li Fusheng's Wangxinglou Authentic Tongshu", which was sold all over the country with an annual sales volume of 1 million copies. In 2009, Li Tianlun and Li Ke'ai, descendants of the Chetang Li family, resumed publishing "Li Fusheng's Authentic Wangxinglou Tongshu". The content of "Wangxinglou Tongshu" involves ancient primitive astronomy, astrology, geography, meteorology and some little-known contents in the Book of Changes. In the old days when science and technology were not yet developed, how could we obtain scientific knowledge such as solar and lunar eclipses and 24 solar terms? It is indeed a mystery and worth studying. It not only provided a basis for later weather forecast research to a certain extent, but also laid a theoretical foundation for modern behavioral forecasting by guiding people's civil social activities such as construction, marriage, planting, opening markets, sacrifices and burials, as well as agricultural activities such as breaking ground and ploughing, throwing grain and planting seeds. It has certain academic, scientific research and folk culture research value. (No pictures yet, welcome to provide.) (No pictures yet, welcome to provide.)
