The Han court welcomed him grandly and the relationship was very harmonious. Huhanye said that he was willing to be the son-in-law of the Han family and restore the friendship of marriage. Emperor Yuan happily agreed. At this time, Wang Zhaojun, who had never met Emperor Yuan once, heard the news and took the initiative to offer to be a candidate for marriage. In order to appease the Northern Xiongnu, Emperor Yuan of Han Dynasty agreed to Zhaojun and Shanyu to form a marriage to ensure that the two countries would always be at peace. On a clear and crisp autumn day, Zhaojun carried a pipa and followed the aging Huhanye Shanyu, walking in the yellow sandy frontier. Zhaojun bid farewell to her homeland and set off for the northern desert. The rolling yellow sand, the neighing of horses and the cries of wild geese tore her heart; the sadness made her feel uneasy. She plucked the strings of the zither on her mount and played a tragic farewell song "Going Out of the Frontier". The wild geese flying south heard the sad and pleasant music, looked at the stunning woman riding on the horse, forgot to flap their wings, and fell to the flat sand one after another. From then on, "Wild Geese Falling on the Flat Sand" became a masterpiece in the world. Zhaojun was nicknamed "Falling Goose". After Wang Zhaojun arrived in the Xiongnu, she was named Ninghu Yanshi and began her life in a foreign land. In the land of the Xiongnu, where yellow dust rolled, wild geese flew south, cattle and sheep were everywhere, and green grass stretched to the sky, Wang Zhaojun gave birth to a son named Yitu Zhiyashi, who was named Yourizhu King. However, in the second year of Jianshi, after a short marriage, Huhanye Chanyu passed away. Wang Zhaojun was 24 years old that year. A woman from the Central Plains got used to goat milk, lived in felt tents, learned to ride horses and shoot pigs, and also understood some Hu language. According to the customs of the Xiongnu, Wang Zhaojun remarried the newly succeeded Chanyu, Huhanye Chanyu's eldest son, Diao Tao Mogao, who was Fuzhu Lei Chanyu, and gave birth to two daughters.
