Baofeng County is the "Hometown of Chinese Magic". It originated in the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty and has a long history of magic culture. In Zhaozhuang Town, Baofeng County, everyone from 70-year-old men to 6-year-old children can improvise two sets of tricks. While people are intoxicated by the magic of magic, Zhaozhuang Town's cultural industry, which is mainly based on magic performances, has blossomed all over the country and has become a real, visible and tangible pillar industry. In recent years, relying on magic culture, Zhaozhuang Town has embarked on an innovative path of "farmers create culture, and culture benefits farmers". Using the "magic +" cultural format, a small commodity market and a rural book wholesale market have been built in Dahuang Village, creating an economic income of 1.5 billion yuan for the village every year and driving 130,000 jobs across the country. On May 24, 2021, the State Council approved the fifth batch of national intangible cultural heritage representative project list extension list (a total of 140 items) determined by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, among which file number-82 "Illusion (Baofeng Magic)" was successfully selected.
