Dongzhangwu Village is located in Luofa Town, Anci District, Langfang City. It is adjacent to National Highway 104 connecting Beijing and Tianjin in the east and Langbo Highway in the west. It has a superior geographical location and convenient transportation. Dongzhangwu Music Concert is a Buddhist music, which was introduced to the public from the temple in the late Qing Dynasty. It has been passed down by the Linji and Caodong schools of Zen Buddhism, so the Buddhist repertoire included is very rich, among which the Buddhist famous songs such as "Sanguizan", "Puan Mantra" and "Wangsheng Mantra" are the main ones. With the development of the Boxer Movement, Dongzhangwu Village established a altar in 1900, and the Buddhist music concert of the village also participated in it and played a positive role. The musicians of the concert also created some unique music that conforms to the historical characteristics of the time, such as "Shangmatai", "E Langzi", "Pounce Grasshopper", "Crying Huangtian", etc. to cooperate with the development of the Boxer Movement. Of particular historical significance is that the musicians of the Buddhist Concert once played music in the famous Boxer Langfang Victory Luoda Blocking Battle, integrating ancient Buddhist music as military music into the fight against invaders, and composing a generous and tragic song of Chinese peasants spontaneously organizing to defend national dignity and fight against foreign invasion with their flesh and blood. The Dongzhangwu Boxer Concert has a history of nearly 100 years. In order to commemorate the martyrs, carry forward the patriotic spirit of the martyrs, and educate the next generation on patriotism, the Boxer Concert has perfectly preserved these music and performed them during festivals and some slack seasons. The music played in the Dongzhangwu Boxer Concert is a microcosm of the Boxer Movement. In the past, people did more research on the history of the Boxer Movement, and knew almost nothing about the literary and artistic forms used by the Boxers except for some circulated ballads. Although the drum beats used by the Boxers were discovered in the Langfang area in the 1950s, they did not attract much attention from historians and the music community. The music used by the Boxers in their activities, which was discovered in Langfang in 1983, was processed and adapted by the Boxer leaders based on folk music according to the needs of the struggle, using the forms of blowing songs and instruments that the masses were familiar with. These discoveries fill the gaps in China's modern music history and provide new materials for the study of the Boxer Movement and modern music history. The Dongzhangwu Boxer Concert currently has more than 20 members, with a full range of musical instruments. There are more than 30 songs that can be played skillfully. It has been highly praised by Professor Yuan Jingfang, a doctoral supervisor at the Central Conservatory of Music, and others. Many programs of CCTV have made special reports. They have been to Beijing's Grand View Garden to participate in the "Grand View Garden Temple Fair" performance and to Beijing Zhihua Temple to perform on the same stage with the temple's orchestra. In 2006, at the invitation of Yongqing White Pagoda Temple, they participated in the ceremony of welcoming the Buddha's relics; participated in the Langfang Folk Music Rehearsal and won the third place; participated in the first Beijing Zhihua Temple Music Festival, and the performance was very successful and widely praised.
