Poyang Herbal Filled Candy Making Technique (Third Batch Provincial Level) Poyang Herbal Filled Candy is a traditional food made by handcraft. It is cylindrical in shape and can be cut at any length, resembling a cigarette. The outer layer is a thin layer of maltose skin, and the inner layer is wrapped with a core material made of glutinous rice, wheat, vegetable oil, black sesame, ginger, tangerine peel, osmanthus, fennel and other materials. It is an ancient traditional low-sugar ecological food. Since its creation in the Western Han Dynasty, Poyang Filled Candy has been passed down from generation to generation. It has been made by every household for a long period of time, and the continuous creation, improvement and development of the making artists have gradually improved the craftsmanship. It has been spread to some villages in Leping, Wannian, Yugan, Yiyang and other counties and cities around Poyang. It is a traditional food with a long history and wide circulation. In June 2010, the Poyang Filled Candy Making Technique was included in the third batch of provincial intangible cultural heritage list of Jiangxi Province.
