The ancient residence of Shi Dafudi is located in Luotian Village, Luotian Village Committee, Shibi Town, at the foot of Meiling Mountain, Xishan, about 10 kilometers southeast of Anyi. It was founded by Huang Xiuwen, a wealthy businessman from Luotian, in the Xinsi Year of Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty (1762). It was listed as a provincial cultural relic protection unit in 2006. This private residence covers an area of more than 4,400 square meters. There are three houses in the main building. Each building is a separate building. The front and rear buildings rely on each other and are built close to each other, so that they are connected and strung together on an axis. The main building of the ancient residence of "Shi Dafudi" faces east and west, with an eight-shaped door. Immediately to the north of this building is a house composed of four ancient houses arranged vertically, and the house to the north is still composed of four ancient houses. The above 11 houses are combined together, and the appearance is a very large house. The main gate of this ancient house is characterized by a large family. The main hall of the main house has a large span, and the wooden frame structure adopts a combination of the through-beam and the raised-beam style to form a tall and spacious hall. The part near the patio also adopts the roll-up shed style to expand the space. The locals call it the boat shed style. More than 20 pillars are used in the hall, and the sills under each pillar are carved with exquisite patterns, making the hall more luxurious. The carvings of the ancient house are meticulous and elaborate, mainly using hollow carving and relief. There are exquisite hollow high reliefs and plaques on the lintel of the main hall. The plaque reads "Shuang Yi Xi Lan", which is a sacrifice to Hongshi. The lintel relief is divided into three layers. The lower layer is the carp jumping over the dragon gate, the middle layer is the top scholar riding a horse and strolling around and the unicorn picture, and the upper layer is the phoenix facing the sun. Several sacrificial red stones are embedded in the walls on both sides of the door lintel relief, like the wings on both sides of the official hat. From the overall point of view, the decoration on the door head looks like an extra-large official hat. The flower window on the north side of the courtyard of the main front hall is carved with stories from the Romance of the Three Kingdoms. The ancient house is a brick and wood structure. The roof is a combination of a hard roof and a half-slope roof to form a courtyard. The wall is a well circle type, and the gables on both sides are built into a horse head style wind and fire wall. Luotian "Shi Dafu Di" has been well preserved to this day and is very spectacular. This big house now has four lanes, eighty door sills, twenty-two courtyards, sixty rooms, eleven halls, and three halls. Each house is fully functional, with a school, servants' rooms, ancestral halls, banquet halls, etc. It has typical Jiangnan rural architectural characteristics. The entire building has a reasonable layout, exquisite construction, tall and majestic, simple and heavy. Information source: Municipal Cultural Bureau Information source: Municipal Cultural Bureau
