Chanting is the traditional reading tune, which is a traditional reading and poetry chanting tone based on the dialect pronunciation. In the teaching of academies and private schools in the past dynasties, teachers and students used chanting to learn the Four Books and Five Classics, poems and prose, which is easy to memorize. In order to further enrich the content of the exhibition hall of the Folk Museum, recently, Cheng Zhijuan, director of the Folk Museum, and a group of 5 people went to Ganyu and other places to collect relevant content of Haizhou chanting and record chanting videos. Haizhou chanting is the seventh batch of representative projects of Lianyungang City's municipal intangible cultural heritage. The inheritor Chen Xueyuan chants mainly the tones of chanting poems (including chanting seven-character regulated verse, seven-character quatrain, five-character regulated verse, five-character quatrain, etc. "modern-style poems" and chanting "Book of Songs", "Yuefu", "Chuci", miscellaneous poems and other "ancient-style poems"), the tones of chanting lyrics, and the tones of chanting classical Chinese. This video was shot in cooperation with Chengyuan Mengjiashu to simulate the traditional private school teaching method and reproduce the Haizhou chanting teaching scene.
