The Five Elements and Three Parts Acupuncture is a traditional medicine project of the seventh batch of representative projects of intangible cultural heritage at the municipal level in Lianyungang City. The Five Elements and Three Parts Acupuncture is a family acupuncture method of the Ma family in Zhewang Township, Ganyu County. The acupuncture method originates from the theory of the unity of man and nature and the correspondence between man and nature in traditional Chinese medicine. The acupuncture points are selected based on the classification of yin and yang and twenty-five people in the "Inner Canon of Medicine" and the five-element and six-qi ideas. The whole set of acupuncture methods consists of the three parts of heaven, earth, and man, and the acupuncture points are matched according to the law of the five elements. The heaven part is the five-wheel eight-point eye needle, the earth part is the five-point hand and foot needle, and the human part is the eight-diagram abdominal needle. This acupuncture method is magical for pain in the head, neck, shoulder, waist and legs; dizziness; stroke; cough and asthma; dysmenorrhea; acute and chronic sprains, etc., and it can often be effective with just one needle. The idea of the five-element three-part acupuncture method originated from the Neijing and the Difficult Classics, and embodies the characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine that the unity of man and nature and the correspondence between man and nature. The three-part acupuncture method is organically combined, and the five elements are used to guide the acupoint selection. There are fewer acupoints to be selected in clinical practice, less pain, and faster results. It has extremely high application and research value. (No pictures yet, welcome to provide.)
