Yangzhou jade carving is a traditional art project in the first batch of national representative list of intangible cultural heritage. Today's Yangzhou jade carving artists have fully inherited the excellent skills of jade carving in history, are keen on innovation, and use the carving process law of "taking materials according to the materials and applying the skills according to the materials" in the practice of skills. In combination with the requirements of the times, they have continuously improved their ability to "appraise jade" and carving skills, and created a large number of products with novel composition, beautiful shape and exquisite workmanship. Among them, the "mountain carving" and "practice" skills are particularly unique, showing the exquisite craftsmanship of Yangzhou jade carving artists. Representative works in history include "Yi Zisun" in the Eastern Han Dynasty, "White Jade Cicada" in the Western Han Dynasty, "Linglong Jade Pagoda" in the Song Dynasty, "Hexagonal Lotus Jade Pot" in the Ming Dynasty, "White Jade Ruyi" and "Dayu's Water Control Picture" in the Qing Dynasty. The main modern representative works include "Pagoda Furnace", "Juzhen Picture", "Five Elements Pagoda", "Daqian Buddha Country Picture", "Inner Practice Thin Tire Double Bottle", "Mantis Cabbage", etc. Yangzhou jade carving is extremely unique in the field of traditional arts and crafts and folk handicrafts.
