"Gachang" is divided into opening songs, origin songs, wine songs, love songs, songs of persuasion, bitter songs, songs of respect for the elderly, road-blocking songs, pipa songs, flute songs, wooden leaf songs, mourning songs, ritual songs, labor songs, praise songs, admonition songs, narrative long songs, children's songs, etc., according to the content of the lyrics, melody, accompanying instruments, singing occasions, and singing forms. Rap songs are called "Gajin", which are mostly narrative long songs. The folk music of the Dong ethnic group is represented by "Duoye" and the Dong ethnic group's big songs. Folk dances include "Lusheng Dance", "Duoye Dance", "Sacrificial Dance", "Dancing Spring Ox", "Blister Leg Dragon Dance", "Duo Shuttlecock Dance", etc. Dong Opera is also very famous. The musical instruments of the Dong ethnic group include Lusheng, Dong flute, Xiaodi, Pipa, Niutuiqin, etc. The folk rap "Jun" is accompanied by the big pipa or Niutuiqin "Guoji". The ancient works include "Shanlang'e Mei", "Bensui Liumei", "Langyehuomei", "Jinhanliemei", "Zhulangniangmei", "Menlongshaonu" and so on.
