Yangcheng Land Boat is a traditional dance form in Yangcheng County's community fire performances, which is spread throughout the county's towns and villages. Among them, the most representative are the land boat performances in Dongguan Village, Fengcheng Town and Shanzhuang Village, Xihe Township. The land boat originated from folk sacrificial activities. With the development of history, its activities have also expanded from simple sacrificial (rain-praying) activities to community fire activities such as temple fairs and festival celebrations such as the Lantern Festival on the 15th day of the first lunar month. Yangcheng Land Boat is a wooden boat-shaped structure, decorated, and performed by artists with their backs tied. The performance content is mostly the modeling of drama characters, including the content of "The Generals of the Yang Family" and "The Biography of Yue Fei", as well as other legends, creating many lifelike characters. In addition, in the long-term folk activities, the land boat performance cleverly absorbed the performance routines of folk dances, mastered the skills of broken steps and rubbing steps, and showed the whole situation of running against the wind and waves and advancing in victory in a smooth and lovely way. The birth and development of Yangcheng Land Boat has gone through the maturity and prosperity of the Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China, the interruption during the Japanese invasion of China, the rescue in the early days of the People's Republic of China, the ban during the Cultural Revolution and the decline, and the revival in the 1980s. After several ups and downs, it has been passed down to this day. (No pictures yet, welcome to provide.) (No pictures yet, welcome to provide.)
