The She ethnic group originated in Yanshi, Henan, and moved south to Chaozhou, Guangdong before the middle of the Tang Dynasty. After that, they moved to Guangdong, Fujian, Zhejiang and other places. The She ethnic group of Ningguo, surnamed Zhong, Lei, and Lan, moved from Chun'an County, Jingning County, and Lanxi County of Zhejiang Province to Qianqiuguan, Yunti Village, Dushantou, and Xikeng, Bailu Village, and settled in Yunti Township in 1879, 1887, and 1893 respectively. Currently, Yunti She Ethnic Township in Ningguo County is the only She Ethnic Township in Anhui Province. Red yeast rice wine originated from the She ethnic group in Chaozhou, Guangdong, and has a history of more than a thousand years. Red yeast rice wine has the pharmacological effects of promoting blood circulation, activating meridians, breaking blood circulation, removing rheumatism, thickening the stomach, moisturizing the skin, dispersing warm air, eliminating stagnation, and resisting wind and cold. It is a local health secret recipe. Modern medical clinical trials have confirmed that it also has the effects of lowering blood lipids, lowering blood sugar, and lowering blood pressure, which is more in line with people's concept of healthy drinking. The Yunti She people have a history of brewing red yeast rice wine for more than 100 years. The Yunti She ethnic group red yeast rice wine is bright red, fragrant, sweet, and rich in nutrition. The villagers of the Yunti She ethnic group (a total of 1,679 households of She, Han, etc.) and the She people in the neighboring villages brew more than 100 kilograms of glutinous rice red yeast rice wine every year, for their own drinking and gifts to relatives and friends.
