Four-stringed book
Sixianshu is one of the traditional operas in western Anhui. It is unique in folk art with its unique playing techniques, various forms of singing and rich rhythm changes. Sixianshu is named because its main accompaniment instrument, the four-stringed sihu, has four strings. It was originally sung in western Anhui folk tunes, and later formed [Le Bai Diao], from which it derived [Le Diao], [Bai Diao], [Happy Diao], [Feng Le Diao] and other tunes, and absorbed the playing techniques of the falling qin, thus taking shape. History Sixianshu has a long history, with a history of more than 150 years. The most famous artist who sings Sixianshu is Liu Yingcai from Huoshan. The Huoshan County Party Committee and the County Government attach great importance to folk culture. In 2004, the China Dabie Mountain Folk Culture Grand Prix was held. Liu Yingcai's student Jiang Honglin brought the Sixianshu "Role Model" to the stage, making it shine again. Protection significance Sixianshu is a unique music genre formed on the basis of absorbing folk music from western Anhui. Researching the origin and development of Sixianshu in western Anhui plays an important role in further studying the history of folk music in western Anhui. It is an important part of the traditional culture of the Chinese nation and a very valuable cultural heritage. Therefore, it is of great significance to protect Sixianshu as an intangible cultural heritage.
