Lingbi is located in northeastern Anhui. It is the ancient battlefield of Gaixia, where the Bian River flows, and a famous hometown of folk art. Lingbi's strange stones, Zhong Kui paintings, and Yu Ji's tomb are known as the "three wonders of Lingbi": strange, ugly, and beautiful. Lingbi Qinshu is a gorgeous folk art wonder that was nurtured and grew on this magical land. Lingbi Qinshu developed from Shandong during the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty. It absorbed Lingbi's local opera, folk songs, and minor tunes and integrated them into the opera art of surrounding areas. After the long-term artistic practice of Qinshu artists, it has a beautiful singing style and is full of Lingbi characteristics. It narrates stories, shapes characters, and expresses emotions in the form of rap with accompaniment of instruments such as yangqin, and is spread in the border areas of Jiangsu, Shandong, Henan, and Anhui. The content of Lingbi Qinshu is rich and colorful, with historical stories, love legends, folk legends, and real life. The performance forms are flexible and diverse. Different performance forms are adopted according to different audience groups. The performance style is vivid, humorous, and highly unified in thought, artistry, and appreciation. Lingbi Qinshu has a wide influence in Huaibei area and even the whole country. Gao Xiaoyan and Liu Peifeng became members of the Provincial Quyi Artists Association, and their achievements were included in the "Chinese Quyi Circle Name Dictionary". In 2007, Gao Xiaoyan was awarded the title of "Outstanding Inheritor of Chinese Folk Culture" by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the China Folk Literature and Art Association. CCTV praised him for his "art is all over Hongxiang, and his music is spread to all directions". Lingbi Qinshu is deeply loved by the people for its long history, distinctive characteristics and rich content. It plays an important role in spreading historical and cultural knowledge, propaganda and education, and enriching the cultural life of the masses.
