The Pavilion (Longfu Pavilion)
Longfu Tiaoge is a folk dance of Tunxi people with a history of more than 400 years. Its origin can be traced back to the Ming and Qing Dynasties, when Huizhou merchants were prosperous and folk activities were particularly lively. In order to liven up the atmosphere of festivals, the people of Huizhou created Longfu Tiaoge. The local opera of ancient Huizhou, Hui Opera, has a long history, rich repertoires, and is well-known to everyone. It provides a vivid reference for the performance of Longfu Tiaoge. In ancient times, Longfu Tiaoge was also called "Tai Opera". According to Zhao Jishi's "Jiyuan Ji Suoji" in the early Qing Dynasty, "In the 27th year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty (1599), Xiuning welcomed the spring with a total of 109 Tai Operas. The Dai family in Longfu, east of the county, was even more famous. The stage was ingenious and magnificent, and the horse-and-man dance was also the same." The Tai Opera mentioned here is a kind of folk art Tiaoge that has been circulated in Huizhou since the Song and Yuan Dynasties. The Tiaoge in Longfu, Liyang, the hometown of Dai Zhen, is the most famous. The traditional modeling repertoires of Longfu Taige include: "Journey to the West", "The Legend of the White Snake", "Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai", "Nezha Conquers the Dragon King", etc. In recent years, "Dai Zhen Returns Home" has been created to commemorate a generation of masters. These performances represent a major representative of my country's traditional "exquisite culture" and "elegant culture", and cultivate people's sentiments. Longfu Taige is a large-scale folk modeling dance that integrates historical stories, myths and legends, and integrates painting, opera, colorful paper-cutting, paper-molding, acrobatics and other arts. It fully demonstrates the rich and colorful situation of folk art in Huizhou area, with equal emphasis on skills and difficulty, rich content and diverse forms, and has important artistic value and research value. After hundreds of years of circulation, Longfu Taige has a deep mass base. When it is performed, there are both gongs and drums accompaniment, and the young actors make a variety of expressions based on the roles and characteristics of the characters they play, which are vivid. The two are perfectly matched and complement each other. The program is fascinating and the performance form is relatively complete.
