Money Board (Fucheng District)
The original money board was called Yuzi board, which had only two pieces, just like the current car light board, but shorter than the current board, and was not made of bamboo, but iron and copper. Later, it was imitated from the copper gate used by knife sharpeners, and the iron gate was called Lianhua board, which was increased to four pieces, with holes drilled and threaded, and connected together for playing. Later, it was changed to bamboo, and a touch-blocking board was added, but it was still at the stage of playing gates. Later, it was changed to Cizi board, one of the two pieces was made into a sawtooth shape on the side, and the sawtooth was used to scrape the other piece of board to produce a popping sound. As the skills of playing boards improved, it was improved to the current money board. The money board is made of bamboo heads of nanmu or spotted bamboo. Three bamboo joints are kept on the board to make the board strike more effectively. A money board is divided into the head, tail, surface, bottom and two horizontal sides. Each part can be struck and make different sounds. The size of each money board is 9 cun long, 1 cun wide and about 5 fen thick. Three boards make a pair, two of which can be embedded with small coins or metal sheets. First, hollow out the edge of the board, and then install the small coins or metal sheets in the middle of the board. The three boards are divided into the surface, bottom and striking boards, and the work is done successfully.
