Korean Water Dance Project batch: Provincial 2nd batch of projects Protection unit: Mudanjiang Korean National Art Museum Representative inheritor: Jiang Shunjin The water dance is named because the dancers dance with water jars on their heads. It is a traditional dance performed by Korean women. It originated from life and is widely spread among the people. Korean women go to the river to fetch water with jars. Because they hold their children on their backs, they return with the water jars on their heads. The dance uses "wave-stepping steps", "pad steps" and "broken steps" as the basic steps, and mainly includes "sweet spring scooping water" and "jade finger marbles". The dance posture is relaxed and beautiful, and the dance expresses the joy and happiness of the people who fetch water. In order to facilitate dancing, dancers often use paper or fiberglass water jars with beautiful patterns painted on them, which are light and unique. (No pictures yet, welcome to provide.)
