The traditional wedding customs of the Mongolian people have a long history in Qian Gorlos Mongolian Autonomous County and have been passed down from generation to generation. Since ancient times, the local Mongolians have always maintained the traditional wedding customs with the characteristics of the ancient Gorlos Mongolians in places where they gather. In the clan society, the Mongolians believed that all members of the clan came from a common ancestor, and that they could not get married or marry within the clan. In particular, the princes and nobles all married across the flag. The Mongolian grasslands are vast and the residents are scattered. Marrying a wife or marrying a daughter must go to a far place. After the daughter gets married, it is unknown when she will meet her parents and brothers and sisters again. Therefore, getting married has become a happy event for men and women to get married and a sad event for relatives to part. The Mongolians are a nation that can sing and dance well. The Mongolians in Qian Gorlos naturally use singing to express this joy and sadness when they get married, so wedding songs are created. After a long historical process, semi-professional wedding speakers have emerged, and the man and the woman have "Helemoqin". Both sides have singers and "Helemoqin", and gradually formed a wedding custom that follows the order of wedding activities and singing throughout the whole process. The most prominent feature of the wedding customs of the Mongolian people in Qian Gorlos is that the entire wedding process is connected by the "Wedding Song" and some fixed procedures. The folk weddings in Qian Gorlos have added new content. The bride is usually welcomed at the woman's home the day before the wedding. The number of people welcoming the bride varies from five, seven, or nine, and the number of people in wealthy and noble families can reach seventeen or nineteen. Regardless of the number of people, the man must have at least one toast master, and the woman must also have one or two female toast masters who are good at dealing with people (the girls call her sister-in-law). After the wedding party arrives at the woman's home, the toast masters of both sides begin to sing songs in accordance with the wedding procedures. Of course, if there is no female toast master on the woman's side, some people use male toast masters. When the wedding party leaves the man's side, they carry a sleeve se (for the woman's wedding banquet, wine, meat and other food). After the wedding party arrives at the woman's home, the wedding customs begin. Welcoming the bride, after the wedding party arrives, the woman offers tea to the male party's wedding party. At this stage, they should sing praises of the dress, songs to praise the arrows, songs to praise the horses, and songs of congratulations. The first banquet of the bride's family is to entertain the family. Before the banquet begins, the bride's sisters-in-law and brothers and sisters play around and embarrass the groom's "Helemoqin" to ask for a name and ask for a family. At this time, there are milk wine offerings and duets of songs asking for a name and asking for a family. Tea is offered, and after the banquet, Pangu begins, interspersed with Pangu songs, exhortation songs, and congratulatory songs. The Shanen Tu Banquet is the second banquet of the bride's family. The robes and boots made by the bride for the groom are presented, and the groom has to change clothes. At this time, the bride's sisters-in-law, brothers and sisters play around and embarrass the groom and the best man, asking them to light cigarettes and toast, sing songs, and use various games to embarrass them. At this time, during the Shanen Tu Banquet, singers sing farewell banquets, banquet announcement songs, toast songs, wine discussion songs, praise Shanen, in-laws songs, girls' songs, Emo's songs, and time announcement songs. It continues until the time of sending the bride away. The bride is escorted and the time-announcement song urges people to set off. The groom's party and the bride's party start their journey, singing and laughing along the way, grabbing the groom's hat, and racing horses. On the way, they will worship Aobao. When the bride-welcoming and bride-receiving teams are about to arrive at the groom's house, the bride's party will wait and rest. The groom and the best man will return home first and report all the people, the number of cars, the number of men and women to their family. Then the groom and the best man will return to the bride's party and circle the bride's party three times counterclockwise, and lead the bride's party until they enter the first door of the man's house. The man's "Helemoqin" holds a wooden fork (with three-color and five-color Hada on it) and blocks the door with the woman's "Helemoqin" to sing the first door (questions and answers about history from ancient times to the present, ethnic customs, etc.) to embarrass each other. After these procedures, the bride's party is invited to the house to offer Hada and purses. At this time, the man's singer presents horse racing songs, first door songs, purse songs, etc. Before the wedding ceremony, the bride's side has a hair comber who will comb the bride's hair and sing a song to persuade her to marry. At this time, the man's congratulatory speech will announce the time of worshipping the sky, which will be followed by the unveiling of the curtain, the fire worship song, the worship of parents, and the blessing song. Finally, the couple worships the fire, the sky, and their parents, ending the entire wedding. In the social and cultural construction of Qianguo County, the marriage customs of the Gorlos Mongolian people have always occupied an important position. However, due to the changes in the development of modern society and the increasing living standards of people, the traditional Mongolian wedding customs have been severely impacted. However, its rich connotations and unique folk customs have always been passed down and have a positive impact on the production and life of the local people. In order to rescue and protect the unique marriage customs of the Gorlos Mongolian people, Qianguo County has formulated and is implementing protection measures and a strategic plan for the intangible cultural heritage of the region, and has taken measures to rescue, excavate, and organize the traditional wedding of the Gorlos Mongolian people, publish and distribute, arrange programs, train future generations, and expand the team, so that the Gorlos Mongolian wedding can be protected and passed on. Today, Mongolian wedding customs have been included in the "First Batch of National Intangible Cultural Heritage Extension Project List" in 2008.
