After years of excavation, sorting, arrangement and improvement by professionals from the cultural department of our county, this ancient folk traditional culture has developed into a high-quality drum art. Like its sister arts from other places, Huanglong hunting drum is the crystallization of the continuous improvement and enrichment of the working people in their long-term life practice. The plot connotation of Huanglong hunting drum is visualized, the performance scene is spectacular and majestic, rough and unrestrained, the drum beats are deep, the rhythm is brisk, the movements are graceful and generous, the drum beats are full of verve, the dance art and performance modeling are refreshing and very popular. It has won the second prize for performance, the first prize for director, and the excellent organization award of Huanglong County Government at the Shaanxi Xi'an Ancient Culture and Art Festival. Huanglong hunting drum has a long history and originated in Jiaolong Town in the east of Huanglong after the sixth century AD. The ancient Huanglong Mountain has deep ravines, dense forests, roaming wild wolves and few people. In order to reproduce and thrive, the people living here have to create living conditions in an extremely harsh environment, fight against nature, fight against wild beasts, use knives, axes, gongs and drums to "drive away tigers and leopards", and rely on rice gathering and hunting to maintain their lives (see Yan'an History). It shows the struggle between "life" and "death" between man and beast, the majesty of gongs and drums, and the shocking power of sticks, flower spears and bronze utensils. As time goes by and the times change, influenced by the culture of southern Shanxi and the integration of drum arts from all over the country, the people in Jiaolong Town have continuously developed and enriched the art of hunting drums. In ancient times, it was mostly used for sacrifices to pray for rain and spring temple fairs, and was called "Shangmiao drum" and "beast drum". It has been passed down from generation to generation and has lasted for a long time. Before and after liberation, it was also called "harvest gongs and drums", "festive gongs and drums", "Jiucun Jiuzhe drums", and "earth gongs and drums". In the long river of history, it has been inherited, improved, and passed down by the masses from generation to generation, and gradually formed a unique artistic style on this hot land, and has been continuously carried forward. It has influenced and enriched the cultural life of future generations. The achievements of Huanglong hunting drums are of great significance to enriching the treasure house of Chinese national art and promoting the spirit of traditional culture. It will also promote the rescue, protection, utilization and development of my country's intangible cultural heritage. At the same time, it will contribute to showing the artistic charm of our county's intangible cultural heritage, enhancing the cultural consciousness and cultural identity of the Chinese nation, and promoting the diversity and sustainable development of human culture.
