Hanyin is known as the "heart of Ankang cabbage". People who grow and multiply on this hot land, after work or during festivals, like to watch a local art formed on the basis of Hanyin folk language, folk songs, folk dances and folk music, which is Hanyin Flower Drum. Flower drum, also known as Xiaodiao, is an impromptu singing accompanied by gongs and drums, with songs and dances, which is called flower drum as the name suggests. Singing flower drum is the most common, most widely spread and most popular form of entertainment among the people of Hanyin. Its biggest feature is that it is not limited by time, place and environment, and can be improvised and sung. Especially in the joyful and festive atmosphere of festivals, as long as the gongs and drums are beaten, you can shout and sing. Because of its lively form and strong adaptability, it has been adopted by Cailian Boat, Dibengzi (i.e. Xiaochangzi) and other folk operas, songs and dances, adding color and being loved by the masses. Its long-standing traditional lyrics are still popular today. Hanyin Flower Drum is influenced by many cultures, integrating the north and the south, and the east and the west, making this traditional folk art present a unique style and colorful scene. Hanyin Flower Drum, at the beginning, was mainly about expressing the love between men and women, and was not performed publicly. Later, it evolved into a variety of forms and contents for festivals, weddings, birthdays and self-entertainment, and was performed publicly. The flower drum has a smooth tune, a distinct rhythm, a cheerful mood, and popular lyrics, full of a strong local flavor. It is widely welcomed by the people and has been passed down for thousands of years. In the early 1980s, it set off a small climax. In the first month of 1988, Huang Gaode, a senior reporter of Nanjing Jinling Radio Station, who returned to his hometown to visit relatives, assisted the county meter factory in organizing the Hanyin "Mountain Eagle Cup" Flower Drum Competition Evening, with nearly 10,000 spectators. Subsequently, Huang Gaode broadcast the selected and recorded Hanyin Flower Drum on Jinling Radio Station to Taiwan and Southeast Asian Chinese, which caused a great response at home and abroad. 1. Origin of Flower Drum Flower drum originated very early in Hanyin. It is said that in the ancient agricultural civilization period, when the Hanyin Ba people were pulling up seedlings and weeds, they often set up special people to beat gongs and drums and sing in the fields to cheer and cheer. When they were resting from farm work, they often gathered together to improvise singing and dancing to the sound of gongs and drums, which formed the earliest "Tang generals' team flower drum". The Qinlong horse drum music in the Han Dynasty and the military music of Zhuge Liang during the Three Kingdoms period, which was hung around the waist, hit by fingers, and sang lyrics to confuse the enemy, were successively introduced to Hanyin. The local Tang generals' team flower drum absorbed nutrients, and the flower drum came ashore from the fields and was used in folk festival ceremonies. The "big welcoming drum", "receiving drum", "running on the dry boat" and other artistic dance segments in the Song Dynasty drama were introduced to Hanyin, adding dance elements to the original Hanyin flower drum. In modern times, the tunes of the flower drums brought by immigrants from Hunan, Hubei and Anhui merged with the local flower drums in Hanyin, evolving into a new form of flower drums, making Hanyin flower drums unique, with smooth tunes, distinct rhythms, and rich singing and dancing characteristics. Although Hanyin flower drums have been established since the Republic of China, there is no fixed program for their performances. The actors can freely perform, which makes them graceful, natural and vivid, and worth watching. 2. Artistic characteristics The musical structure of flower drums belongs to the joint song form. It organically connects flower drum tunes, and uses them alone or with several tunes to express the content of the drama, forming a specific flower drum singing style. The music has a natural melody, distinct rhythm, popular lyrics, and is accompanied by percussion instruments, which is popular among the masses. Huagu has no fixed lyrics, and is mainly performed improvisationally. The singer's talent and language are all based on the singer's thinking and language. The beginning of the song is usually four and a half sentences or two and a half sentences as the "introduction", which is the beginning of the song, followed by a series of sentences describing events and emotions, commonly known as "counting boards", with gongs and drums as interludes, and finally ends with two and a half sentences. Many folk artists who sing Huaguzi improvise lyrics and give full play to them. They use teasing, flattery, duets, and continuous boards to liven up the atmosphere and make it interesting. Hanyin Huaguzi, singing and drumming are interspersed, with drums in singing, singing in drums, and singing and drumming at the same time. The singing style is rhythmic, high and low, rough and thick, round and gentle, and pleasant to the ear; the singing form is generally a single singing at the beginning and the end, with a duet in the middle; the singing style is warm and unrestrained, lively and positive, inspiring and encouraging, thus arousing people's infinite love and unremitting pursuit of a better life, and inspiring people to be proactive and strive for strength. 3. Performance Forms Hanyin Flower Drum Performances are divided into three categories: singing and dancing, drama, and singing without makeup (commonly known as playing with playboys), among which singing and dancing are the most common. 1. Flower Drum singing and dancing are mainly the following two types: playing with colorful boats, also known as playing with lotus picking boats, and running on dry boats. A gorgeous woman sits in the colorful boat, with a rower on each side of the boat, and a humorous and funny old woman and old boatman, running and rowing the boat to the sound of gongs and drums, interspersed with performances and singing flower drums. There are only two actors in the ground jumping, one plays the female role and the other plays the male clown, singing and dancing with the accompaniment of gongs and drums. 2. Flower Drum Operas include: Xiaochangzi, also known as Erpengzi and Lahua Opera. This is a more advanced type of Flower Drum Opera, which mostly expresses historical stories, folk stories and mythological stories, with civil and military scenes, close to the form of opera. Bacha is divided into Yang Bacha and Yin Bacha, which mostly reflect the erotic stories of young men and young ladies. Sitting and singing without makeup is commonly known as singing flower drum or playing. The singers sit together without makeup and sing without dancing or jumping in the sound of gongs and drums. Everyone present can improvise, sing duets, or sing together, and the participation of the masses is strong. This form is mostly active in folk family courtyards and weddings and funerals. 4. Inheritance value Hanyin Flower Drum has deep connotations, broad extensions, and its own characteristics. It is different from Fengyang Flower Drum, Hunan Flower Drum, and Shangluo Flower Drum. It is both singing, dancing, and opera. It has various forms, is lively, humorous and interesting, has been passed down for a long time, and is deeply rooted in the masses. It plays the role of a "living fossil" in the study of the development and evolution of music, dance, and opera, and its inheritance value is immeasurable. At present, due to the impact of various factors, Hanyin Flower Drum is in an endangered state and should be treated as an intangible cultural heritage to strengthen rescue and protection. Flower drum tunes can be roughly divided into three types: object gathering singing, subject chanting singing, and labor industry singing. The first form is mainly to add excitement and liveliness to events that occur in a specific environment, and has a certain degree of performance; the second form is for individuals to sing and chant by themselves, to vent their emotions of sorrow and joy, and to call out gongs and drums to amuse themselves when they are in the mood; the third form of singing is mainly characterized by free singing, long or short sentences, and the rhythm changes with the pace and environment, taking into account the role of adding excitement and unifying will. Huaguzi is generally accompanied by gongs and drums in singing. The pentatonic Hui tune is the main mode, and the seven-character sentence is the main sentence. It pays great attention to parallelism and rhythm. A complete Huaguzi uses four parallel sentences and one rhyme to express a central idea. Some of them are sung in conjunction in the fourth sentence. The words of the sung conjunction are also in the same rhythm, and each section can be organically switched. The sung conjunction is a mode with the flavor of rap. The lyrics contain allusions, narratives, and descriptions of scenes. In short, the complete "four sentences" must be "opened" with gongs and drums, and the gong beats are divided into the first beat, the second beat, and the last beat. After singing one or two sentences, the first beat is played, and the first beat is played for four beats. After singing three sentences, the second beat is played, and the second beat is played for eight beats. After singing four sentences, the last beat is played. The last beat depends on the situation on the spot. It can be long or short, tight or loose. These methods of handling have become a routine among the masses for many years. Hanyin Flower Drum Performance is very convenient and simple. Just spread a mat in the courtyard or the main room, and the performance can begin. You can also dance and sing anywhere in the field. There are no scenery, no tables and chairs, and the actors perform virtual movements. Some perform with makeup, and some perform without makeup. Even if they make up, they are very simple. Generally, the male role wears a straw hat, a belt around the waist, a piece of white dried tofu on the face, and a long-handled pipe or folding fan in hand; the female role wraps a colorful handkerchief on her head, inserts a silk or paper flower, wears fashionable clothes, wears a printed skirt, and holds a flower folding fan, a flower handkerchief or a small umbrella in hand, and then she can go on stage to perform. The main body movements in the performance are jumping and twisting, which include jumping, flashing, bouncing, twisting, stepping, sparrow jumping, double kicking, backward jumping, single leg jumping, triangle jumping, cross jumping, zigzag jumping, turning line jumping, double eight-character (88) jumping, etc. Although there are many ways to jump, there is no fixed program for the performance of jumping and twisting. The actors can freely perform according to the plot and the emotions of the characters. Hanyin Huaguzi has a natural melody, a distinct rhythm, and popular lyrics. It is accompanied by percussion instruments and is loved by the masses. Huaguzi has no fixed lyrics and is mainly improvised. The emotions are aroused by the people, things, and scenes. It all depends on the talent and language of the singer. The beginning of the song is usually four and a half sentences or two and a half sentences as the "introduction", which is the beginning of the song. Then there are continuous sentences describing the events and emotions, commonly known as "counting boards", and gongs and drums are played in between, and finally it ends with two and a half sentences. Many folk artists who sing Huaguzi improvise lyrics and give full play to them. They use teasing, flattery, duets, and continuous boards to liven up the atmosphere and create a lot of fun. Huagu is an important cultural resource of Han Yin. As long as it can be innovated, upgraded and improved, and the lyrics and performance techniques can be innovated, it can be used for the public's self-entertainment, as well as for education and entertainment, for the propaganda work of various departments and units, and for the central work of the Party and the government, for the business work of departments, and can also be used for festivals and tourist attractions to develop tourism.
