Wuyuezhai, a national forest park and AAAA-level tourist area, is located at the eastern foot of Taihang Mountain, in the deep mountainous area in the northwest of Lingshou County, Hebei Province. It is named because of the five peaks standing side by side and the characteristics of the Five Mountains. Wuyuezhai Forest Park is developed and managed by Hebei Wuyuezhai Tourism Development Co., Ltd. The park is part of the Manshan Nature Reserve in Hebei Province, with a total area of 88 square kilometers. In December 2000, it was approved as a national forest park by the State Forestry Administration, and has maintained the titles of "Hebei Province Tourist Scenic Spot (Point) Comprehensive Management Standard Unit" and "Shijiazhuang Top Ten Tourist Attractions" for many years. In the same year, it was rated as an AAAA-level tourist area by the National Tourism Administration. In 2006, it was rated as a Hebei Provincial Geopark. At present, it is actively applying for Wuyuezhai National Geopark. The scenic area is high in mountains and dense in forests, with colorful flowers, green mountains, and waves in the sea of clouds. The temperature is humid and cool, the air is fresh, and the flora and fauna and water resources are extremely rich, with hundreds of large and small waterfalls. The subalpine meadow at an altitude of more than 2,000 meters can bring tourists to the realm of the Bashang grassland where "cattle and sheep can be seen when the wind blows the grass low". Coupled with the secluded and dangerous peaks and valleys and the strong characteristics of the frontier area, the scenic area has become a high-quality, multifunctional natural scenic area integrating tourism, fitness and recuperation, summer vacation, adventure, mountaineering and scientific investigation.

Philosophy related to the heritage
Interpretation of Wuyuezhai Scenic Area from the perspective of Eastern philosophy: In Eastern philosophy, natural landscapes are often regarded as the embodiment of the Yin and Yang and the Five Elements between heaven and earth, and the display of the order and harmony of the universe. Wuyuezhai Scenic Area, with its majestic mountains, clear streams, and rich vegetation, shows the magnificence and delicacy of nature. From the perspective of Taoism, the mountains, rivers, and plants of Wuyuezhai are all manifestations of "Tao" and the embodiment of the natural law of "ruling by inaction". Here, people can experience the realm of "harmony between man and nature", feel the harmonious coexistence with nature, and comprehend the philosophical thought of "Tao follows nature". At the same time, from the perspective of Confucianism, the natural beauty of Wuyuezhai also symbolizes the virtues of a gentleman. The stability of the mountains and the agility of the water can be regarded as the qualities that a gentleman should possess, that is, "the benevolent enjoy the mountains, and the wise enjoy the water". Interpretation of Wuyuezhai Scenic Area from the perspective of Western philosophy: In Western philosophy, natural landscapes are often regarded as a combination of rationality and beauty, and are a window for human rational exploration of nature and understanding of the universe. From the perspective of Western philosophy, the natural beauty of Wuyuezhai Scenic Area can be regarded as the embodiment of "sublimity" and "beauty" in Kant's aesthetics. The majesty of the mountains and the clarity of the water not only give people visual enjoyment, but also inspire people's deep understanding of the beauty of nature and rational thinking about the laws of nature. At the same time, from the perspective of existentialism, the natural environment of Wuyuezhai also provides people with space to reflect on their own existence and explore the meaning of life, allowing people to experience the real sense of freedom and existence in the embrace of nature. In addition, from the perspective of ecological philosophy, the ecological protection and sustainable development of Wuyuezhai also embodies the modern philosophical concept of harmonious coexistence between man and nature.
