Zhonghe Shao music originated from ancient Chinese elegant music, also known as suburban temple music. It is a ceremonial music that integrates ritual, music, song and dance. It was the music used in sacrifices, court meetings and banquets during the Ming and Qing dynasties. It is also the most typical court music in ancient China, with a long history.
