Pimachiowin Aki
Pimachiowin Aki ("Life-Giving Land") is a landscape of rivers, lakes, wetlands and boreal forests. It is part of the ancestral homeland of the Anishinaabeg, an indigenous people who lived by fishing, hunting and gathering. The site encompasses the traditional lands of four Anishinaabeg communities: Bloodvein River, Little Grand Rapids, Pauingassi and Poplar River. It is an outstanding example of the Ji-ganawendamang Gidakiiminaan ("Tendency of the Land") cultural tradition, which includes respect for the gifts of the Creator, respect for all life forms and harmonious relationships with others. A complex network of livelihood sites, dwellings, travel routes and ceremonial sites, often connected by waterways, bear witness to this ancient and continuing tradition.
Durmitor National Park
This breathtaking national park was formed by glaciers and is crossed by rivers and underground streams. The Tara River Canyon has the deepest gorge in Europe, dense pine forests intersect with clear lakes and is home to a variety of endemic plants.
Garajonay National Park
Laurel forests cover about 70% of the park, which is located in the central part of La Gomera, in the Canary Islands. The presence of springs and numerous streams ensures a dense vegetation, similar to that of the Tertiary period, which has largely disappeared in southern Europe due to climate change.
Quansheng Gorge
Quansheng Gorge Scenic Area is located on the sunny side of Qingxu Mountain, a Taoist holy place in North China. It covers an area of 10 square kilometers and has an altitude of 180-1046 meters. As it is a rare karst landform in the north, it has three unique characteristics: first, the Grand Canyon blocks out the sun and is cool even in the hot summer; second, stalactites and beautiful rocks are scattered throughout the canyon, and there are natural lotus stalactite caves; third, streams are gurgling, and pools and waterfalls are flying. The scenic area faces south and is surrounded by high mountains, towering peaks, and a jade gorge. The area is full of green pines and cypresses, blooming mountain flowers, springs and streams, overlapping pools, hanging waterfalls, karst stalactites, caves and canyons, historical relics, and ancient temples. The scenic spots that have been opened include: Baipi Maku Bay, Sansheng Spring, Huquan Jingang, Longmen Shuang, Zilai Gate, Fengshui Dingyan, Canyon Galaxy Three-dimensional Stream (Looking up to see the magpie, the stack of steps, and the hand-in-hand crossing), Tianchang Waterfall, the Great Wall into the stream, Quanzhen Qizitan, Ruyan murals, golden toad fossils, turtle and snake playing with toad, Renhe Waterfall, Yizhi Peak, two-wall peach blossoms, three cypresses, pothole basin, Quansheng Wall, Pagoda Peak, cave group, Longquan, Dragon King Temple, Jing'an Stone, Demon Bat Cave, Shuangru Peak, Longmentai Farmhouse, Cotinus coggygria autumn color, Quansheng Road, generations of marquises, smooth sailing, lion farewell, etc. The scenic spots under development include: Weiyu Temple Ruins, Dijiu Waterfall, Hand-in-hand Crossing, Xilongmengou, Changerao, Xihong, etc. Northern Karst, Qigu Quansheng Gorge. Shuiyan Temple
Shuiyan Temple, located on Baofeng Terrace in Jieshi Mountain Scenic Area, is also known as "Baofeng Temple". To the north is Xiantaiding, the main peak of Jieshi Mountain; to the east is a mountain with an altitude of 241 meters, which is tall and steep, with strange rocks standing tall, resembling an incense burner, named "Xiangshan"; to the west is a slope leading to the western cliff of Xiantaiding, with a mountain top like a crown, named "Shamao Mountain". Between Baofeng Terrace and Xiangshan, there is a stream flowing from Longtan Cave on the high cliff of Xiantaiding in the east. The area is surrounded by mountains and water, and the scenery is extremely elegant and beautiful.
