Without the Communist Party, there would be no New China Memorial Hall
In October 1943, during the anti-Japanese war in Pingxi, Comrade Cao Huoxing created this song of truth in Tangshang Village, Xiayunling Township. In 2001, the Xiayunling Township Government and Tangshang Village invested millions of yuan to renovate the site where the lyrics and music of "Without the Communist Party, There Would Be No New China" were created, and the exhibition hall of the site where the lyrics and music of "Without the Communist Party, There Would Be No New China" were created was established. A memorial sculpture with the theme of "Without the Communist Party, There Would Be No New China" was built in the courtyard. In March 2002, the site was rated as a municipal patriotic education base by the Beijing Patriotism Education Leading Group. On June 26, 2006, the "Without the Communist Party, There Would Be No New China" Memorial Hall was newly built. The main building of the memorial hall is 1,800 square meters, the singing stage is 4,000 square meters, the parking lot is 2,200 square meters, the road construction is 850 meters, and the large theme exhibition is 1,100 square meters. The memorial hall adopts a single-story connected construction method based on the terrain, reflecting the style of Pingxi mountain dwellings, and is divided into three areas: A, B, and C. The large-scale theme exhibition is divided into three parts. In the exhibition art expression, it comprehensively uses traditional and modern artistic means such as text, photography, painting, relief, wax figure, and phantom imaging. The entire exhibition displays 800 photos, 1 oil painting, 1 large relief, 1 wax figure, and 1 phantom imaging. The memorial hall can accommodate 500 people at the same time.
Baicaopan Natural Scenic Area
The full name of the scenic spot is: Beijing Xiayunling Forest Park Baicaopan Natural Scenic Area. It includes seven scenic spots: Baicaopan, Kunpeng Gorge, Thyme Valley, Pine Forest Round City, Laodao Cave, Dragon Bone Stone Hall and Xinglin Garden, which are called the Eight Scenes on the Mountain and the Eight Scenes at the Foot of the Mountain, with 106 scenes. The eight scenes on the mountain are: Lilac Spring, Pavilion Moon Viewing, Top Morning Light, Five Finger Peak Show, Sea of Clouds and Waves, Beijing Lights, Thousands of Ancient Photography, Gaoping Grass. The eight scenes at the foot of the mountain are: Angry Stones Falling from the Sky, Pine Sea and Forest Waves, Ant Mounds and Thousands of Hills, Prehistoric Sites, Kunpeng Spreading Wings, Divine Cave Fairy Road, Pine Forest Round City, Mother and Son Worshiping Dragon. Including 8 scenes on the mountain and 8 scenes at the foot of the mountain, there are 106 named landscapes. Baicaopan is the highest peak in southwest Beijing. According to satellite-guided measurement, its exact altitude is 2,161 meters. It is on the same ridge as Baihua Mountain, which is about 7 kilometers northeast of it. The altitude of Baihua Mountain is 1,990.7 meters, about 170 meters lower than Baicaopan. Due to the height of Baicaopan, the scenic area has an obvious vertical spectrum distribution pattern of vegetation from the bottom of the mountain to the top of the mountain, that is, the altitude is 800-1,200 meters for mild broad-leaved deciduous forest and shrub landscape belt, the altitude is 1,200-1,700 meters for the cool mid-mountain larch forest and birch forest landscape belt; the altitude is 1,700-2,100 meters for the cool subalpine shrub and meadow landscape belt. Friends are all familiar with lilacs. In May, lilacs in Beijing are in full bloom. Near Simatai Village, which is 800-1000 meters above sea level, lilacs have just budded and will not bloom until early June. However, when you climb to the mountainside at 1400-1500 meters, you will find that the lilacs there have just budded. When you reach the top of the mountain at 2000 meters, the lilacs there are just bare branches, and they have not even budded yet. In mid-June, the lilacs at the foot of the mountain have already bloomed, but the lilacs halfway up the mountain are fragrant and blooming, and the lilacs on the top of the mountain have just released red buds. Friends are welcome to travel here in late spring and early summer. You can enjoy the intoxicating aroma and charming flower posture of this unique alpine lilac - white lilac, red lilac, and explosive Martin. The altitude of the top of Baicaopan is more than 2,100 meters higher than the Beijing Plain, and the altitude of the mountainside is more than 800 meters higher than Beijing. Therefore, the climate here is cool and pleasant in summer, making it a good place for summer vacation. At an altitude of 1,680 meters on the mountainside is the "Rui Da" mountain resort, where the summer temperature is 8-9℃ lower than that in Beijing; at an altitude of 2,160 meters on the top of the mountain is the underground hotel of the Baicaopan Mountain Resort, the highest in Beijing, where the summer temperature is 11-14℃ lower than that in Beijing. Entering the Baicaopan alpine meadow, you will feel the fresh air, cool and pleasant, the fragrant grass, and the blooming flowers. Leaving the bustling city life, you come to the paradise of the vibrant nature. The green carpet has been laid for you. Lying on it, looking at the blue sky, counting the green mountains, and smelling the fragrance of flowers, how pleasant it is. According to investigation, Chinese herbal medicine accounts for more than 200 species among the flowers and plants around you. This is an important production area of wild Chinese herbal medicine in northern my country. The Chinese medicine culture has a long history. 100 kilometers west of the grassland is the "Huangdi City" of Zhulu County in history. According to legend, this is the place where Emperor Shennong, one of the "Three Emperors", tasted hundreds of herbs. Baicaopan will become the first park in my country with Chinese medicine culture as its theme. The large grassland is not only a sky garden, but also a natural treasure of Chinese medicine culture. Baicaopan Natural Scenic Area is invested and developed by Baicaopan Tourism Development Co., Ltd., and its economic entity is Simatai Village. Simatai Village is a remote mountainous area in the southwest corner of Beijing. Before 1996, it was still a poor mountain village. Under the leadership of Comrade Zhang Jinlai, the branch secretary, the party members and the masses of the village worked hard for several years to initially get rid of poverty. Coal is produced in this mountain. Through coal mining, funds have been accumulated to solve the problem of food and clothing for the whole village. However, coal is a non-renewable resource. The more you mine, the less you have. From a long-term perspective, we should still develop forestry and fruit industry based on the characteristics of the mountainous area and give full play to the advantages of mountainous resources. Secretary Zhang proposed the strategy of "using black to support green", using the money earned from coal mining to support forestry development. The whole village worked hard for three years to open up a 5,000-mu apricot base and planted nearly 3,000 mu of artificial forests, bringing the village's forest coverage rate to 78.2%. This is also a pioneering effort in the village in forestry, and was therefore recognized by the superiors. In 1996, the Ministry of Agriculture of the State established Simatai Village as a "National Model Village for Sustainable Rural and Agricultural Development" and awarded Comrade Zhang Jinlai the honorary title of National Model Worker. In 1996, 1997, and 1998, it was rated as one of the "Top Ten Villages in Mountainous Economy" by the Fangshan Government for three consecutive years. In the same year, it also won the "Beijing Advanced Grassroots Party Organization" and the "National Advanced Party Branch for Rural Grassroots Organization Construction Work" issued by the Organization Department of the Central Committee. Over the past few years, Simatai Village has won more than 20 awards. It has changed a lot. It has invested more than 17 million yuan to harden 26.7 kilometers of roads, connecting Simatai Village to National Highway 108. In order to develop tourism, it invested more than 5 million yuan to build Tengma Hotel and a mountain resort with a height of more than 2,100 meters. Another 2.55 million yuan was invested to drill a well and lay more than 8,000 meters of pipelines to bring spring water from an altitude of more than 1,500 meters into the village, solving the accommodation, dining and drinking water problems for villagers and tourists. The village invested 450,000 yuan to install satellite receiving equipment and lay coaxial cables so that every household in the village can watch cable closed-circuit television programs. Most farmers in the village have installed program-controlled telephones, and mobile switching towers have been installed in the deep mountain gullies, with direct calls from all over the country and even the world. The village has built an office building and a well-equipped conference hall that can accommodate more than 1,000 people for meetings. Now the village has followed the economic development plan: returning farmland to forests and developing tourism. The per capita income has exceeded 10,000 yuan, and it has entered a well-off life ahead of schedule.
