Taibai Temple Tiantong Porcelain Festival
The "Tiantong Pewter Fair" of the Tiantong Taibai Temple in Dongwu Town, Yinzhou District, has been held for hundreds of years. It has become a folk custom with ethnic and regional characteristics. The temple fair has always preserved the people's commemorative subject and aims to promote the national culture of filial piety. In form, it inherits the sacrificial parade ritual that is close to a religious ceremony. The Tiantong Pewter Fair Guild Area is mainly centered on the Taibai Temple in Tiantong Village, extending to Santang Village where Shunniang Temple is located, and Tongyi Village in Xiangziyan where Du Xiaozi lost his son. The round trip distance is 8 kilometers. Basic content: On the night of the fifteenth day of the ninth month of the lunar calendar, a full set of pigs and sheep, four Beijings and four fruits, and twelve stews are offered in the main hall of the Taibai Temple. The rich offerings of 24 large plates made of pewter are offered to celebrate the birthday of the temple god. In the afternoon of the same day, the temple began to perform dramas, which lasted for a week. On the morning of the 16th, the parade will be held on the streets, showing various types of yarn boats (including dragon boats, phoenix boats, fish boats, etc.), pavilions, incense pavilions, flower pavilions, tea pavilions, various pewter-casting crafts and various folk art performances, such as dragon dances, lion dances, waist drums, folk dances, etc. The parade will cover an area of 8 kilometers, with more than 10 performances.
