Tang's straw weaving technique
Straw weaving skills are a traditional art project in the sixth batch of representative projects of Lianyungang's municipal intangible cultural heritage. Tang's straw weaving skills are complex and the techniques are not passed on to others. It is a unique skill in the local area. The raw materials used include corn husks, palm leaves, imitation leaves, ribbons, etc., which are used to make lifelike flowers, birds, insects, fish, dragons, unicorns, phoenixes, monkeys and other handicrafts, which are deeply loved by people. Not only are they in good sales at ordinary times, but they are also sold during the Spring Festival, which can increase the flavor and joy of the New Year, so adults and children are scrambling to buy them, and the supply is in short supply. Tang Yunlun has been learning skills since he was a child and has superb skills. After the reform and opening up, he was even more like a fish in water. He often took his products to the big market and temple fairs, and his reputation spread far and wide. He has been invited to garden expos, cultural parks, exhibitions, and temple fairs across the country many times, and his works often won awards. (No pictures yet, welcome to provide.)
