Willow weaving skills are a traditional skill project in the second batch of representative projects of municipal intangible cultural heritage in Huai'an. Jinhu County is known as the "hometown of Qiliu", which provides convenient conditions for the rise and development of the willow weaving industry. The willow weaving skills of the Luo family in Lvliang Town, Jinhu County have a history of more than 100 years, and have been passed down to the fourth generation. The Luo family originally had no willow weaving skills. It was Que Yuanjin, a descendant of the Que family who had been engaged in willow weaving for generations, who married into the Luo family and brought the willow weaving skills to the Luo family, and it has been passed down to this day. The traditional willow weaving skills of Lvliang emphasize practicality and ornamental value. There are many types of products and the process flow is not the same. Taking the production of bamboo baskets as an example, the process flow is as follows: First, peeling. The dog days Qiliu is better, the branches are mature and easy to peel, and the color is also white. The Qiliu bark in autumn is more difficult to peel, and it is easier to peel when it sprouts in the spring of the following year. The second is soaking. Soak in water for 34 hours to soften it and not easy to break. The third is to select materials and pick the bottom. The wicker branches are divided into nine pieces according to their thickness, length and length, and then woven into the bottom ruler hemp rope to form a crescent shape. The fourth step is to raise the mold. Gather the wicker branches to make the mold stand upright, and weave it into a bucket shape close to the mold. The fifth step is to remove the mold and hoop. When the weaving reaches two-thirds of the height, remove the bamboo hoop to form an egg shape to facilitate the continued weaving to form a more perfect bucket shape. The sixth step is to tie the mouth and shape it. When the required height is reached, remove the previous hoop, flatten the excess part, use a cone to pierce holes, pass through the cowhide and tie it tightly, and continue to use an axe and hammer to hit certain parts into the ideal shape. Luo's willow weaving has a wide variety of varieties, novel styles, fine workmanship and durability. Someone made up a ballad to praise it: "Que's basket is like an iron bucket, and it is true that it can hold water without leaking. The young lady carrying Luo's basket (flower basket) looks like a fairy coming down to earth. Luo's bird cage is hung on the tree, and the old man is happy." Willow weaving is a traditional folk handicraft with high practical and economic value. (No pictures available, please provide them.) (No pictures available, please provide them.)
