Nantong Jade Carving
Nantong jade carving is a traditional art project in the fifth batch of representative projects of Nantong's municipal intangible cultural heritage. Jade is processed and carved into exquisite handicrafts, which are called jade carvings. Nantong jade carving is mainly based on jadeite carving, combined with modern expression techniques, adding modern understanding to tradition, and widely absorbing the carving techniques of the two major style systems in the north and south. It has both the boldness and boldness of the Beijing-Tianjin School and the gracefulness and delicacy of the Suyang School. It is good at integrating various techniques such as intaglio lines, deep and shallow reliefs, three-dimensional round carvings, and hollow carvings, forming the basic characteristics of "thick, round, elegant, smart, and exquisite", as well as the artistic characteristics of "beautiful and elegant, exquisite and exquisite". The modeling is vivid and lifelike, and the carving is meticulous, which is famous for its unique artistic charm. There are nearly 100 jade carving practitioners in Nantong City, and dozens of stores and processing plants, all of which are engaged in jade carving. (No pictures yet, welcome to provide.)
