Originated during the reign of Emperor Daoguang of the Qing Dynasty, it was mainly spread in places such as Pingtai in Yunan County. The dance is accompanied by props such as unicorns, white horses, top performers, palace lanterns, drum lanterns, flower baskets, fish lanterns, palm fans, and wave umbrellas. During the performance, each performer holds a prop and often uses the "cross" step to perform the dance. It symbolizes auspiciousness and drives away evil.
