The Jiushidian Temple Fair is a folk activity held in Huaqiao Town from the second to the eighth day of the second lunar month every year. It mainly consists of three parts. The first is a religious activity to worship the mountain god. That is, before the temple fair, a glass oil lamp is lit in front of the mountain god statue. The head of the meeting and the deacon go to the statue, burn incense and kowtow. The actors of each role hold the face of the god they play and the right chest, burn incense and kowtow at the same time. The people worship and pray one after another. At that time, firecrackers are deafening, and gongs, drums and suonas are played in turn. There is an endless stream of pilgrims and believers from far and near. Taoist priests rush to perform fasting and offering rituals, talking and singing, and bowing, worshiping and chanting in the hall. During the temple fair, the wooden statue of the mountain god is also carried out to appease the gods, deter ghosts and monsters, and keep the area safe. The second is that the literary and artistic activities are mainly singing operas, but there are also juggling, string puppets, shadow puppetry and the like. The third is commercial activities. There are many stalls around the venue, and merchants gather. Big merchants and small vendors sell a variety of goods, farm tools and household items, and local snacks compete for beauty.
