Men of the Jingpo, Zaikan, Laqi, and Bo'e branches of the Jingpo ethnic group usually wear black short jackets with wide trouser legs. Old men keep their braids wrapped around their heads and wrap their heads with black cloth, while young people like to wrap their heads with white cloth. When going out, they must wear "Jianyang" and long knives to show their military power and dignity. Women usually wear black short jackets with two fronts or left-back jackets, black or red woven skirts, and leg wraps. There are many silver bubbles and silver pieces embroidered on the front, back, and shoulders of the jackets. There are six or seven necklaces or multiple strings of silver chains and silver bells hanging around the necks. They wear silver earrings longer than their fingers on their ears, and one or two pairs of thick silver bracelets with thorn flowers on their hands. Many women also like to weave rattan rings with rattan. They are painted with red or black lacquer and wrapped around the waist. They believe that the more rattan rings there are, the more beautiful they are. The Jingpo women's skirts woven with wool are a concentrated reflection of their artistic talents. The skirt is called "Lebu" by the Dashan branch and "Puzang" by the Xiaoshan branch. It means the apron woven in ancient times, and is usually called the skirt. The skirt is woven with wool thread, mostly with a black background, and a few with a red background with fine patterns made of red, green, yellow, blue and purple wool threads. The patterns are divided into three categories: fruit seeds, grass and flowers, and bird footprints. The skirt made of three pieces must be made of black wool on the side around the waist, and it cannot be worn upside down. The skirt made of two pieces has patterns on the top and bottom, and can be worn upside down, regardless of which side is on top. The opened skirt is rectangular, about five feet long and more than three feet wide. It can also be worn on the body to keep warm, and can also be used as a quilt. It is indispensable to use it as a backpack when carrying a baby.
