The traditional Chinese wooden structure construction technique is a system of construction technology that uses wood as the main building material, mortise and tenon joints as the main method of combining wooden components, and modular system as the means of scale design and processing and production. The construction technique is passed down from generation to generation through words and deeds between teachers and apprentices. This construction technique system has been passed down for more than 7,000 years, throughout China, and spread to East Asian countries such as Japan and South Korea. It is a representative of ancient Eastern architectural technology.
